Everything we publish is education. It is not advice about your particular life, and we are not the professional who knows your situation.

1If you are in crisis

Please read this first

If you are in crisis, or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now.

findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines by country, and most of them answer day and night.

Nothing on this site is emergency support, and nobody here is monitoring for it. If you write to us about something urgent, we will point you at real help rather than answer it ourselves.

2Education, not advice

Daily Better You publishes guides, protocols and trackers about habits, focus, energy, confidence, money and the other everyday parts of getting your act together. It is general education, written for a wide audience, by people who read the research rather than by clinicians treating you.

It is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your history. Nothing here diagnoses anything, and nothing here is treatment.

Use your judgement. Where a professional is the right answer, go and get one. We say that inside the guides too.

3Results vary

What happens when you use any of this depends on you, your situation, your starting point and how much of it you actually do. We promise no particular outcome, and we do not claim that what worked for one reader will work for you.

Where a guide describes an example, a case or a number, treat it as an illustration of the idea rather than as a prediction about your life. We do not use invented testimonials, invented endorsements or invented results anywhere on this site.

4Health, food and training

Some guides cover sleep, eating and physical training. Named, so you know which ones this section is about: The Sleep Superpower, Eat for Energy and Build the Body.

These are general wellbeing education, not medical advice, not a diet plan prescribed for you, and not a training programme supervised by anyone. Talk to your doctor before changing how you eat, how you sleep or how you exercise, and especially if you are pregnant, taking medication, managing a health condition, recovering from injury, or under the care of any professional.

If something in a guide contradicts what a clinician has told you, follow the clinician.

5Emotions and mental health

Some guides sit close to mental health without being about it: Master Your Emotions, Bounce Back Stronger, Rewire the Craving and Quiet the Noise.

They teach everyday skills, such as noticing a reaction before acting on it, restarting after a bad week, sitting out an urge, or turning down the mental noise. They are not therapy, not a clinical intervention, and not a replacement for professional support for any condition.

If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a doctor or a qualified therapist. That is a better use of your next hour than anything we wrote, and we would rather say so than sell you a guide. Section 1 above is there for the moments that will not wait.

6Money and earning

Two guides deal with money: Money You Don't Blow, about spending less of what you already have, and Make Your First $1K, about getting a stranger to pay you for something.

Neither is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and neither promises an income. We do not tell you what you will earn or save, because we do not know, and anyone who does tell you is guessing at best.

Earning money involves effort, skill, timing and luck, and it can fail. Your own tax and legal obligations are yours, and a local professional is the right person to ask about them.

7The research we cite

Our guides name their sources, because borrowed authority should be checkable. Citing a study means the idea comes from published research, not that the study was run on you or that its findings apply to your case.

Research also moves. We correct guides when it does, and the version you hold is the one that was current when we published it.

8No professional relationship

Reading a guide, taking the quiz, emailing support or joining a group programme does not create a doctor and patient relationship, a therapist and client relationship, a lawyer and client relationship, or an adviser and client relationship of any kind.

Acting on what you read is your decision, and the consequences of that decision are yours. The limits on our liability are set out in the Terms, and none of them touch rights you have by law.
